St. John’s Ministries

Our Choir

The choir practices weekly on Thursday evening at 7:00pm at the church.

The choir of St. John’s provides musical anthems for the glory of God. We have special anthems to correspond with the church calendar year. Our choir loves to inspire the congregation and encourages anyone who loves to sing to join us.

The choir also takes orders for Christmas and Easter flowers for congregation members. There are sign up sheets for orders at the back of the church a few weeks before Christmas and Easter.

The choir director is Dr. Leta Thompson. You can reach her at (570) 325-2121 if you have any questions about joining us. Our organist is Ruth Kistler, who has been doing a wonderful job for us over the years. We feel fortunate to have her with us.

Men’s Fellowship Group

A monthly meeting at the church to discuss scripture, church projects, and helping congregation members.

Meeting times and dates vary.

Join our gathering of men over scripture, meals, problem solving of church structure and grounds maintenance. Friendship and feeling good for doing projects for the good of the church and its members.

If you are interested in more information, or would like to join us, contact Will Rodgers at 610-751-9317

Sunday School/Youth Group

The Sunday School/Youth Group runs from September through May, beginning at 9:15 AM Sunday mornings. The purpose of the ministry is to spread God’s word and love to the children, youth, and parents. All children, Nursery through 12th grade, are welcome to join us on Sunday mornings. You need not be a member of the church.

Sunday School/Youth Activities

In addition to weekly classes, various activities are planned throughout the year for fun as well as outreach through the World Hunger Drive. Throughout the year we have Rally Day at the beginning of the new Sunday School year, Family Fun Day, Halloween Party, Christmas Program, sledding, Easter Egg hunt, and fun crafts.
